Well, we knew that we couldn’t  keep all the news secret for long… so, while we like to avoid announcing anything until all the contracts are signed, we have some important news to announce now:

Headline One:

• ComStar Acquires 50% Ownership Stake in Avenger Enterprises

Martin J. Dougherty of Avenger Enterprises and William Andersen of ComStar Games are very proud to announce that ComStar Games has acquired a 50% ownership stake in Avenger Enterprises (Martin Dougherty owning the other 50%).  Financial terms of the transaction are not being released.

As part of the deal, Martin will continue to be the creative head of Avenger Enterprises as Lead Line Developer.  William, of ComStar, will serve as President of Avenger Enterprises (as well as ComStar).

Avenger Enterprises will continue with the following goals:

• Goal One: Continue to provide the very best customer service possible. 
• Goal Two: Continue to develop and publish the very best gaming materials possible, focused upon our Traveller line, and Translight (our upcoming line of science fiction games based upon the popular percentile die mechanic)\

Avenger will continue to operate under its existing license to publish Traveller materials until its expiration in the 4th quarter of 2008. 

Headline Two:

• ComStar is pleased to announce the release of our newest game line: DICE-Tractions

DICE-Tractions is a line of inexpensive, fairly easy dice games that can be played as stand alone games, or as additional rules to your existing game.  Titles such as Dice Football (which allows you to spend a ‘salary cap’ to pick players—all dice—put them into formations, call plays and defenses, and drive to ‘Paydirt’), Dice Wars (spend your defense budget to design and build your dice armies and prepare for battle), Dice Racing (who at your game table REALLY has the most lucky dice?  Find out in Dice Racing), etc.
